ORTLIEB USA accepts no liability for any claims relating to normal wear and tear, improper product use, failure to follow assembly or mounting instructions, product modifications, or improper storage. The warranty does not cover material abrasion, holes, tears, cuts, or other damages that occur as a result of an external variable or event (i.e. bicycle accident).

ORTLIEB USA does not assume responsibility for the cost of shipping an item to ORTLIEB USA for assessment, repair, or replacement. That cost is the responsibility of the user.

Designed with the ORTLIEB Messenger Bag in mind, this compact backpack is the perfect choice for students, pupils or commuters, for every day, for school, for sports or work. Velocity Lite is sturdy and waterproof. Its trademark, the foam ventilated back, ensures carrying comfort along with breathability. Both the foam back and the ergonomic shoulder straps are improved for increased carrying comfort. The waist strap is adjustable or can be easily removed. Easy access roll top closure with hook and loop guarantees 100% waterproofness and makes packing speedy and simply. In case the hook and loop fastener wears out after years of intensive use, simply return your pack to our ORTLIEB customer service and we will give your Velocity a second life. All components can be easily exchanged or repaired which makes Velocity a sustainable and lifelong companion. What’s new on the inside? All Velocity backpacks now feature an internal zippered organizer and a padded laptop sleeve fixed at the base and top taking computers (max. 15.4”) and keeping them safe and dry. The lower edge protectors resist abrasion and wear. A bike light or helmet can be fixed to the back. As all ORTLIEB products, Velocity Lite is sustainably made in Germany.

What size should my backpack be?

The ORTLIEB Velocity is available in three sizes and adapts perfectly to your everyday needs.
The most popular version is the 23-liter model, as it offers an ideal balance between a clean look and sufficient flexibility.
Those who are smaller or need less volume should choose the 17-liter version of the Velocity or the Velocity Lite.
For anyone who regularly carries more, the Velocity is also available in a 29-liter version. This largest model offers plenty of storage space and an additional practical external zippered pocket.
