Dry-Bag Light Valve

ORTLIEB Dry-Bags are an ideal addition to existing bikepacking setups. They help organize your gear inside the bags and keep equipment reliably dry. However, if you want to replace complete bags, the ORTLIEB Dry-Pack is the better choice. It features daisy chains and can be mounted directly to the bike.

All ORTLIEB Dry-Bags are waterproof, robust, and equipped with the proven roll closure, but they differ in material thickness, weight, and features.
Dry-Bag: The versatile all-rounder for camping, boating, or everyday outdoor use. It offers a balanced ratio between stability and weight.
Dry-Bag Light: Made from particularly lightweight material, ideal for tours where every gram counts—such as trekking, bikepacking, or as an inner bag in a backpack.
Dry-Bag Light with valve: Equipped with an additional compression valve that allows excess air to be easily released—ideal for storing clothing or sleeping bags.
Dry-Bag Heavy Duty: Designed for maximum durability. The abrasion-resistant material and reinforced base make it the ideal companion for expeditions, watersports, and all demanding conditions.

For intensive use, such as expeditions, white-water paddling or rough terrain, the ORTLIEB Dry-Bag Heavy Duty is the best choice. It is made of particularly robust, abrasion-resistant material and features a reinforced base. This allows it to withstand even the toughest conditions.

1 to 7 liters: Ideal for small gear such as phone, wallet, first-aid kit, or spare clothing. Perfect for day trips, kayaking, or as an additional inner bag in a backpack.
7 to 12 liters: Offers enough space for a full set of clothing or light gear. Well suited for short hikes, bike tours, or as a dry bag in a boat.
12 to 22 liters: The all-round size, with space for clothing, a sleeping bag, or food. Ideal for multi-day tours with a tent or for bikepacking.
35 to 60 liters: Large enough for full camping or outdoor equipment including tent and sleeping bag. Optimal for longer tours or as the main pack bag.
80 to 110 liters: For expeditions, white-water trips, or extensive gear transport. Plenty of room for everything you need on big adventures.

Every production step, from material cutting to final inspection, takes place in our own facilities. Materials are sourced locally, regionally, or internationally according to strict requirements. Our high standards for raw materials extend the product’s lifespan and conserve resources.

ORTLIEB products are extremely robust because we use high-quality materials and permanently weld all seams. This eliminates the need for stitching or bonding, and all connections are at least as strong as the material itself. If something does get damaged, holes can be safely rewelded by us or by our authorized service partners.

If the Dry-Bag Light Valve does get damaged, almost every component from straps to buckles can be repaired.
