ORTLIEB USA accepts no liability for any claims relating to normal wear and tear, improper product use, failure to follow assembly or mounting instructions, product modifications, or improper storage. The warranty does not cover material abrasion, holes, tears, cuts, or other damages that occur as a result of an external variable or event (i.e. bicycle accident).

ORTLIEB USA does not assume responsibility for the cost of shipping an item to ORTLIEB USA for assessment, repair, or replacement. That cost is the responsibility of the user.

Thanks to its well-thought-out roll-top closure and proven ORTLIEB waterproofing, all personal items remain dry even in the event of unexpected rain. The closure, which almost closes by itself thanks to two small magnets, can be easily operated with one hand so that everything is ready to hand when it is needed. The wide, adjustable, and removable shoulder strap ensures a comfortable fit and can be flexibly adjusted to suit individual needs.
Particularly practical: there is a separate zippered compartment inside that ensures a clear overview and provides a safe place for small everyday items.
The Metrosphere sling bag is also repairable and sustainably manufactured in Germany.

Can I use the Sling-Bag as a bike bag?

The Sling-Bag Metrosphere is designed as a shoulder bag and does not have any bike mounting system (such as Quick-Lock systems). Direct attachment to the bike is therefore not possible. However, while riding, you can wear it comfortably across your body, as the adjustable strap ensures a secure fit.
If you are looking for a shoulder bag that can also be used as a handlebar bag, we recommend the Velo-Sling. For permanent bike mounting, our bags with Quick-Lock mounting are suitable.

How does the closure of the Sling-Bag work?

The Sling-Bag features a practical roll closure reinforced with PE and equipped with self-locking magnets. The two magnets ensure that the closure almost closes by itself and can be operated easily with one hand. This is especially convenient when you need quick access to your belongings.
