Bags acquired second-hand, or via unauthorized 3rd Party retailers (such as eBay or Amazon) are not eligible for warranty coverage through ORTLIEB USA.

ORTLIEB USA accepts no liability for any claims relating to normal wear and tear, improper product use, failure to follow assembly or mounting instructions, product modifications, or improper storage. The warranty does not cover material abrasion, holes, tears, cuts, or other damages that occur as a result of an external variable or event (i.e. bicycle accident).

ORTLIEB USA does not assume responsibility for the cost of shipping an item to ORTLIEB USA for assessment, repair, or replacement. That cost is the responsibility of the user.
Please contact our Product Service team to submit a warranty inquiry or request a repair. If your product is replaced pursuant to the terms of the warranty, the date of the original purchase shall still apply as the reference date for the 5-year warranty period.

The Ultimate Free is a handlebar bag with plenty of space and no PVC. The transparent flap compartment, which offers 22 x 10 cm of stowage space, is an ideal location for your smartphone, GPS device or map. You can easily operate your mobile devices at any time through the transparent, waterproof cover, giving you a crucial advantage when it comes to uninterrupted navigation. The waterproof tarpaulin material made of polyurethane-coated polyester fabric keeps your important, quick-access items protected and dry no matter what the weather. The locking flap has a magnetic snap that can be conveniently operated with one hand. Thanks to the detachable shoulder belt, you can transform the handlebar bag into a shoulder bag once you reach your destination. The right handlebar mount will allow you to conveniently attach your Ultimate Free to your bike or e-bike handlebars.

Which handlebar mount is right for me?

That depends on your bike. For classic handlebars, the standard adapter is suitable — it is stable and easy to install. If you want to secure your bag further, choose the version with a lock. For e-bikes with a display in the center, the e-bike mount is ideal because it offers more space.

If you want to use your bag on different bikes with only one mount, you can also use the Mounting-Set QR, which is not permanently attached to the bike.

If you already have an ORTLIEB or Rixen & Kaul mount, you usually do not need to buy an additional one. However, check compatibility beforehand using our compatibility overview.
