ORTLIEB USA accepts no liability for any claims relating to normal wear and tear, improper product use, failure to follow assembly or mounting instructions, product modifications, or improper storage. The warranty does not cover material abrasion, holes, tears, cuts, or other damages that occur as a result of an external variable or event (i.e. bicycle accident).

ORTLIEB USA does not assume responsibility for the cost of shipping an item to ORTLIEB USA for assessment, repair, or replacement. That cost is the responsibility of the user.
Please contact our Product Service team to submit a warranty inquiry or request a repair. If your product is replaced pursuant to the terms of the warranty, the date of the original purchase shall still apply as the reference date for the 5-year warranty period.

The QL mounting systems on ORTLIEB panniers allow fast and secure mounting on racks. They are referred to as self-locking fixing systems, for the panniers provided with this system can be mounted to the racks in an easy and safe manner. In case of damage all components can be replaced easily.

Making good things even better – that was the goal in developing the Quick-Lock system, proven millions of times over. The result is Quick-Lock2.2, even easier to handle, more comfortable, and more robust.

Quick-Lock3.1

The QL3.1 system is especially developed for office and city bags an its secret lies in the fact that the main mounting components stay on the rack. This results in a smooth rear side of the bag that is free of protruding hooks, and significantly improves the bag’s carrying comfort when off the bike.

Quick-Lock2.1

This mounting system for bike panniers is the further development of ORTLIEB’s milestone setting QL1 system. All hooks are adjustable to the rack without requiring any tools. Therefore, the panniers can be easily switched from one bike to another.

Can the Velo-Shopper be locked securely to the bike?

That depends on the mounting system used. Our Quick-Lock2.1 and Quick-Lock2.2 bags can be secured directly to the luggage rack using the optional QL2-Lock. The lock is attached to the upper rail of the mounting system and reliably secures the bag to the bike. However, the bag itself is not locked.

With Quick-Lock3.1, locking the bag is not possible.

What carrying options does the Velo-Shopper offer?

Even off the bike, the Velo-Shopper offers high carrying comfort. The adjustable, padded shoulder strap rests comfortably and distributes weight evenly. This allows the bag to be carried comfortably even on longer routes, whether on the way to the office, shopping or traveling.

How is the the Velo-Shopper mounted on the luggage rack?

With ORTLIEB’s Quick-Lock mounting systems, you can easily attach the bag to the luggage rack with one hand. Removing it is just as easy. You’ll find the exact mechanism for each Quick-Lock system on our overview page.

Does the Velo-Shopper fit my luggage rack?

ORTLIEB bags with the Quick-Lock mounting system are compatible with almost all luggage racks. The Quick-Lock2.1 and Quick-Lock2.2 systems fit racks with tube diameters from 8 mm to 16 mm. Bags with Quick-Lock3.1 require special attachment points on the luggage rack, which can easily be retrofitted using a mounting kit if necessary.
