ORTLIEB also offers a 1-year limited non-transferable warranty on all repairs performed by ORTLIEB USA.

Bags acquired second-hand, or via unauthorized 3rd Party retailers (such as eBay or Amazon) are not eligible for warranty coverage through ORTLIEB USA.

ORTLIEB USA accepts no liability for any claims relating to normal wear and tear, improper product use, failure to follow assembly or mounting instructions, product modifications, or improper storage. The warranty does not cover material abrasion, holes, tears, cuts, or other damages that occur as a result of an external variable or event (i.e. bicycle accident).

ORTLIEB USA does not assume responsibility for the cost of shipping an item to ORTLIEB USA for assessment, repair, or replacement. That cost is the responsibility of the user.
Please contact our Product Service team to submit a warranty inquiry or request a repair. If your product is replaced pursuant to the terms of the warranty, the date of the original purchase shall still apply as the reference date for the 5-year warranty period.

Goodbye bulky containers. The ORTLIEB Water Sack ensures reliable water supply in your camp doing without big and bulky canisters. On tour the Water Sack can be packed away taking up very little space, in the camp it offers a generous 10 litres for cooking, washing or even for a shower. The large roll closure opening allows easy filling. The Water Sack is made of tear-resistant, waterproof fabric, and the integrated base valve allows easy metering. The Watersack can be combined with the purification filter by Katadyn.

The Water-Sack is designed for longevity and often accompanies you for decades. To give you peace of mind regarding durability, we offer a five-year warranty on materials and workmanship. If the Water-Sack does get damaged, almost every component from straps to buckles can be repaired. Even if a model is no longer produced, spare parts remain available for at least ten years.

How do I clean the ORTLIEB Water-Sack?

For cleaning, a brush and some neutral soap are sufficient. After use, the bag should be opened and stored completely dried. This extends its lifespan and prevents odors.

Is the ORTLIEB Water-Sack suitable for drinking water?

Yes, the Water-Sack can be filled with drinking water. When combined with a Katadyn Siphon Filter, it can even be used to treat water from open sources. Be sure to change the water regularly and keep the bag clean.

How heat-resistant is the Water-Sack?

The Water-Sack may only be filled with water up to a maximum of 140 °F. Boiling water can damage the material.

What can I use the ORTLIEB Water-Sack for?

The Water-Sack is a versatile companion for camping, trekking or expeditions. It is suitable for storing, dispensing and transporting water, but can also be used as a simple camp shower, clothing sack or compressible protective cover.
