ORTLIEB USA accepts no liability for any claims relating to normal wear and tear, improper product use, failure to follow assembly or mounting instructions, product modifications, or improper storage. The warranty does not cover material abrasion, holes, tears, cuts, or other damages that occur as a result of an external variable or event (i.e. bicycle accident).

ORTLIEB USA does not assume responsibility for the cost of shipping an item to ORTLIEB USA for assessment, repair, or replacement. That cost is the responsibility of the user.

Created for a journey between two worlds — the business world and the outdoors — the Daypack Metrosphere cuts a fine figure in either realm. There’s a padded laptop compartment to ensure that your electronics travel safely, and the proven roll-top closure allows you to access your equipment quickly and easily. On the outside, there is a designated pocket for a personalized address card, as well as two zipped outer pockets for the items that need to be accessed quickly when on the go. Even bad weather on the way to your next pitch is accounted for, because this light yet robust daypack is, of course, waterproof. The entire Metrosphere Line is sustainably manufactured in Germany.

How do the different Commuter Daypack models differ?

All ORTLIEB daypacks share the same functional and waterproof interior layout but differ in material, volume, and back system.
The Commuter Daypack and the Urban variant are available in 21 and 27 liters. They feature a ventilated foam-padded back system that ensures stability and everyday carrying comfort. The other models use a TPU back pad with ventilation channels. This rests especially softly against the back and provides additional comfort, particularly on longer routes.
The outer material also varies: The Urban material has a textured, textile look and feel, while the High-Vis version is made of reflective fabric for maximum visibility in road traffic.
The Daypack Metrosphere is designed as an elegant business version. Its smooth, premium material and the additional external address compartment make it an ideal companion for travel or office use.

What size should my backpack be?

If you’re unsure, choose the 27-liter backpack. The extra storage space is barely noticeable while riding and offers more flexibility, especially during the cooler season when you carry additional clothing or groceries.
If you need less storage and prefer a slim, compact backpack, the 21-liter version is the better choice for you.
