Bags acquired second-hand, or via unauthorized 3rd Party retailers (such as eBay or Amazon) are not eligible for warranty coverage through ORTLIEB USA.

ORTLIEB USA accepts no liability for any claims relating to normal wear and tear, improper product use, failure to follow assembly or mounting instructions, product modifications, or improper storage. The warranty does not cover material abrasion, holes, tears, cuts, or other damages that occur as a result of an external variable or event (i.e. bicycle accident).

ORTLIEB USA does not assume responsibility for the cost of shipping an item to ORTLIEB USA for assessment, repair, or replacement. That cost is the responsibility of the user.
Please contact our Product Service team to submit a warranty inquiry or request a repair. If your product is replaced pursuant to the terms of the warranty, the date of the original purchase shall still apply as the reference date for the 5-year warranty period.

On the go, the bag can be carried duffle- or backpack-style thanks to various carrying straps and ergonomic shoulder straps. There’s also a designated pocket for a personalized address card, should you ever be separated from your bag. In addition, the TIZIP zipper can be secured with two practical magnets and locked with a TSA lock (not included). Whether you’re headed out to fashion week, your next business pitch or a trip to the mountains, the Duffle Metrosphere is ready to accompany you on any adventure. What is the difference between the Rack-Pack and the Duffle?

The Rack-Pack is a versatile all-purpose bag with up to 31 liters of volume and, like the Duffle RC, features a roll closure. It gets its name from the ability to combine it directly on the luggage rack with ORTLIEB Back-Rollers or Sport-Rollers. Duffles, on the other hand, are larger travel bags with padded shoulder straps that can also be comfortably worn as a backpack.

Pack heavy items at the bottom and lighter ones on top. To avoid wrinkles in your clothes, you can simply roll them to save space or use small organizers like Packing Cubes. These help you structure the large main compartment even better and compress folded clothing.

How much volume should my travel bag have?

That depends on how long you are traveling and how much you want to take with you. Here is a quick orientation:

30 L: Ideal for weekend trips or short business travel. Typical carry-on size for flights.
