Bags acquired second-hand, or via unauthorized 3rd Party retailers (such as eBay or Amazon) are not eligible for warranty coverage through ORTLIEB USA.

ORTLIEB USA accepts no liability for any claims relating to normal wear and tear, improper product use, failure to follow assembly or mounting instructions, product modifications, or improper storage. The warranty does not cover material abrasion, holes, tears, cuts, or other damages that occur as a result of an external variable or event (i.e. bicycle accident).

ORTLIEB USA does not assume responsibility for the cost of shipping an item to ORTLIEB USA for assessment, repair, or replacement. That cost is the responsibility of the user.
Please contact our Product Service team to submit a warranty inquiry or request a repair. If your product is replaced pursuant to the terms of the warranty, the date of the original purchase shall still apply as the reference date for the 5-year warranty period.

If yes, you should definitely consider the ORTLIEB Duffle RG. In contrast to the Duffle RS, which was conceived for expedition-level use, the Duffle RG is outfitted with an aluminum wheel frame that makes it especially easy to tow. Indeed, the bag’s large wheels, telescope aluminum handle and impactproof underside give it excellent off-road handling. Free standing when full or empty, the ORTLIEB Duffle RG can be moved in three different ways. It can be wheeled using the telescope handle, carried with one hand or worn as a backpack. The waterproof polyester fabric and the 10-mm waterproof TIZIP Masterseal zipper ensure that the bag’s contents remain optimally protected in all conditions. Thanks to its compact size (55 x 35 x 23 cm), the smallest Duffle RG offers a special advantage: it qualifies as a carry-on aboard commercial flights. But despite its dimensions, it still offers 34 liters of stowage space and is therefore an ideal bag for short trips

What is the difference between the Rack-Pack and the Duffle?

The Rack-Pack is a versatile all-purpose bag with up to 31 liters of volume and, like the Duffle RC, features a roll closure. It gets its name from the ability to combine it directly on the luggage rack with ORTLIEB Back-Rollers or Sport-Rollers. Duffles, on the other hand, are larger travel bags with padded shoulder straps that can also be comfortably worn as a backpack.

How robust is the Duffle RG?

Pack heavy items at the bottom and lighter ones on top. To avoid wrinkles in your clothes, you can simply roll them to save space or use small organizers like Packing Cubes. These help you structure the large main compartment even better and compress folded clothing.

How much volume should my travel bag have?

That depends on how long you are traveling and how much you want to take with you. Here is a quick orientation:

30 L: Ideal for weekend trips or short business travel. Typical carry-on size for flights.
